The Community Empowerment Movement for Micro and Small
Enterprises (GEMPA UMK) is a program designed by the KKN
241 Team from Universitas Jember in Tegalciut Village. This
program aims to address the challenges faced by Micro and
Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the village, particularly in terms
of business legality, branding, and digital marketing. The
approach used includes socialization about Business
Identification Numbers (NIB), development of business
identities, and training on digital marketing, especially using
TikTok. Through interviews, observations, and collaboration
with local officials, it was found that many MSEs lacked formal
business legality and struggled to utilize digital technology.
The results of the GEMPA UMK program include the issuance
of NIBs for 22 business owners, the development of logos and
banners for 22 MSEs, and the creation of a social media
account to centrally manage the promotion of MSEs. This
program successfully improved business formalization and
introduced Tegalciut Village's MSE products to a wider market
through social media.
