Analisis Daya Tampung Beban Pencemaran Sungai Bedadung Ruas Kaliwates Berdasarkan Persebaran Agroindustri Menggunakan WASP
Abstract
The existence of agroindustrial micro businesses located on the banks of the Bedadung River and producing liquid waste has the potential to reduce the water quality of the Bedadung River due to the direct disposal of waste into the river. The Bedadung River of the Kaliwates segment is used as a source of raw water, so it must be at class I water quality standards. This study aims to determine the distribution of agro-industry point sources along the Bedadung River and to determine the pollution load and pollution load capacity of the Bedadung River based on the distribution of agro-industry using WASP. Determination of the pollution load-carrying capacity is carried out by modeling the water quality of the Bedadung River using a one-dimensional WASP model. The water quality parameters used are Dissolved Oxygen, Biochemical Oxygen Demand, and Total Suspended Solid. The results showed that the pollutant sources were determined to be from the liquid waste of the Kaliwates Slaughterhouse and Tofu agro-industry in Tegal Besar Village. The results of the water quality model using WASP meet the class I river water quality standards on the BOD parameter but on the TSS parameter it does not meet. The average pollution load for the BOD parameter is 495.72 kg/day and 27531.13 kg/day for the TSS parameter. Based on the calculation of the pollution load carrying capacity, the Bedadung River Kaliwates section is still able to accept incoming pollutant loads because it has a DTBP value of 768.48 kg/day for the BOD parameter but is unable to accept pollutant loads that enter the TSS parameter because the DTBP value is -2247.16 kg/day. The establishment of a joint WWTP is a solution that can be carried out for the processing of agro-industry wastewater before it is discharged directly into the Bedadung River.
