Abstract

eacher's capability to develop curriculum is a part of essential teacher's competencies. qualitative research using phenomenological approach is designed to investigate the competency : social sciences subject teacher in Jember residence elementary school to develop the curriculum. Result of this research revealed that there are a lot of gaps among a scientific basis and the re? The teacher tends to develop the curriculum based on empirical experiences and the wisdom rather than on the right procedure.
