Studi Karakteristik Sifat Fisik Dan Mekanik Buah Kenitu (Chrysophyllum Cainito) Berdasarkan Varietas Dan Lokasi Pertumbuhannya

Abstract

Kenitu (Chrysophyllum cainito) is an example of a seasonal fruit which are found in East Java, for especially in Jember, Lumajang, Banyuwangi, Bondowoso, Probolinggo and Situbondo. The aim of this study is to determine the physical and mechanical properties of kenitu on five districts in East Java. From the results of the research and analysi, its can be seen that the physical and mechanical properties of this kenitu from five district were significantly different. It is influenced by the general conditions of district, topography, soil fertility and soil type. After getting the database of physical and mechanical properties of kenitu, it have referenced in the planning tools and post-harvest processing machinery so that the economic value of kenitu can be increases.
