Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan dengan Metode Kahoot dan Simulasi terhadap Pengetahuan Pertolongan Pertama Tersedak pada Remaja di SMPN 14 Jember
Abstract
An emergency was an event that requires immediate treatment because it could
result in disability and death. One of them choked which often occurred in children
and teenagers. This studied aimed to determine the effect of health education used
the heimlilc maneuver method on adolescents at SMPN 14 Jember. This researched
method is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental researched design
(nonequivalent controlled group design). The probability sampling technique is
stratified random sampling with a sample size of 74 respondents from SMP 14
Jember students. Then used the Wilcoxon tested because the data is not normally
distributed and collected the data by divided it into 2 groups, namely the treatment
and controlled groups. The research results showed that the pretest in both groups
had less knowledge, namely 27 respondents (73%) each. Posttest results after being
given the intervention in the treatment group had good knowledge, there was 21
respondents (56.8%) and the control group had sufficient knowledge, there was 21
respondents (56.8%). Then, the Wilcoxon tested result in the treatment and control
groups was 0.001. The used of kahoots and simulations by played had a good impact
in conveying information. These two methods could complement each other,
namely theory and practiced. kahoot and simulations made teenagers ready to
provided first aid for choked and teenagers could became peered educators to their
peers. Therefore, there was an influenced of health education used the kahoot and
simulation methods on knowledge of first aid for choked among teenagers at SMPN
14 Jember.
