Indeks Kualitas Tanah pada Lahan Sawah di Kabupaten Lumajang dan Hubungannya dengan Produktivitas Tanaman PAJALE
Abstract
Paddy fields are lands that are used as a medium for planting. The crops grown in paddy fields is rice, corn and soybean. Factor of decreasing crop productivity in Lumajang district is influenced by several factors namely, land management, soil fertility, and soil quality. In determining the quality of soil on a land, a Soil Quality Index (SQI) assessment is conducted. SQI uses Principal Component Analysis (PCA) which reduces the overall variables consist of chemical and physical properties of soil that have been analyzed in the laboratory. The elements used as variables for determining SQI are Water Content, Volume Weight, Particle Specific Gravity, Soil Texture, Soil Porosity, Infiltration Rate, Macro Pores, N, P, Potassium, Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium, CEC, pH, Base Saturation, Exchangable Sodium Percentage, Sodium Absorbation Ratio (SAR), C-Organic, and C/N Ratio. PCA produces a minimum data set that is used as an indicator of soil quality and then determines SQI. The results of SQI on paddy fields in Lumajang district have good criteria with an area of 7,407.069 ha and moderate with an area of 25,053.98 ha and the dominant factors of SQI are Volume Weight, %Sand, SAR, Particle Specific Weight, Base Saturation, and pH. SQI in the paddy fields of Lumajang district has an influence on the productivity of rice, corn and soybean but has a weak influence on the three crops productivity. Each effect of SQI on the productivity of rice, corn, soybean are 14%, 15%, 25%, and the rest is influenced by other factors.
