Keparahan dan Perkembangan Pemyakit Busuk Bulir Padi di Beberapa Desa pada Kecamatam Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
Rice grown in Indonesia is certainly not free from the disturbance of plant disease
organisms, one of which is rice grain rot disease caused by the bacterium
Burkholderia glumae. This disease is starting to spread in Indonesia, one of which
is Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. Further studies are needed regarding the
severity and infection rate disease of rice grain rot in Sumbersari District. The
method used was a random sampling method in the four observation land villages,
namely Karangrejo, Sumbersari, Wirolegi and Kranjingan Villages. This data was
then strengthened by questionnaire data conducted on 40 farmers in Sumbersari
District and data on environmental temperature and humidity. The results of these
observations are that the severity of rice grain rot disease in Sumbersari District
is still relatively low, namely 0.41-0.82%. The factor that causes the low severity
of disease is the temperature factor which is not optimal for bacterial growth.
Other factors, namely cultivation and humidity, are the reasons why the severity
of rice grain rot disease is still found, although the numbers are small in
Sumbersari District.
