Pengaruh Sistem Tanam Jajar Legowo dan Dosis Pupuk Organik terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Tumpangsari Jagung dan Kacang Tanah di Lahan Marginal
Abstract
Corn with the Latin name (Zea mays L.) is a food crop that is quite potential and is one of the food crops or crops that is easy to cultivate. Peanut is one of the leguminous plants that plays an important role in fulfilling food needs and has high economic value, so that many people make peanuts as food and industrial raw materials. Corn production in 2017 in East Java Province was 6,335,252 tons and peanuts was 153,216 tons, while corn production in 2019 was 4,990,147 tons and peanuts was 131,161 tons. The increase in corn production experienced problems due to the conversion of agricultural land into residential and industrial areas. Land that should be used as agricultural land is converted into commercial land. This research was conducted to increase the growth and yield of maize and peanut intercropping by improving nutrients on low sandy soils by adding cow dung organic matter and applying the jajar legowo cropping system 4:2 and 2:2. The research was conducted in a Split Plot Design with two factors. The first factor is the difference in the jajar legowo planting system with 2 levels, namely: P1 (jajar legowo 2:2) and P2 (jajar legowo 4:2). The second factor is the difference in the dosage of organic fertilizer with 3 levels, namely: B1 (9 tons/ha), B2 (18 tons/ha) and B3 (27 tons/ha). The results showed that the application of the jajar legowo cropping system and the application of organic fertilizer doses could increase the growth and yield of corn plants. The best results were obtained in the P2B3 treatment combination (jajar legowo 4:2 and the dose of organic fertilizer 27 tons/ha).
