Analisis Rancang Ulang Proses Bisnis pada Sektor Logistic ( Studi Kasus : PT. Bina Baru Malanti )
Abstract
This research focuses on the analysis of business process reengineering in the
logistics sector, with a case study at PT. Bina Baru Malanti. The primary objective
of this study is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's
business processes through Business Process Reengineering (BPR) with the
implementation of information technology. The background of this research
indicates that the era of globalization and technological advancement compels
courier companies to continuously improve their service quality. PT. Bina Baru
Malanti, a shipping company delivering goods across Indonesian islands, faces
challenges in its existing business processes and requires improvements to enhance
service and operational efficiency. The research methodology includes problem
identification through interviews and analysis of the current business process (As-
Is), as well as the design of the proposed business process (To-Be). The new
business process is proposed based on two main aspects: time and resource
utilization. Simulation and comparative analysis between the As-Is and To-Be
business processes are conducted using the Bizagi application to evaluate the
effectiveness of the proposed improvements. The results of the study indicate that
the business process reengineering carried out can improve time efficiency and
resource utilization. The changes made also support increased user comfort in the
company's business processes. This research makes a significant contribution to PT.
Bina Baru Malanti in their efforts to improve operational performance. The results
of this study can also serve as a reference for other companies in the logistics sector
that wish to improve their business processes through BPR with information
technology implementation.
