    Abstract
The fungus Fusarium solani is known as one of pathogens causes damping off disease in maize. The introduction of Trichoderma harzianum as a biological control agent has entered the development stage to address this issue. This study aims to determine the development of Trichoderma harzianum potential in terms of growth stability and virulence. The stages to stabilize the ability of T. harzianum into the host and natural habitat must through restoration phase. Such developments incur higher costs and pose a risk of loss of strain. This research is intended as an alternative to develop T. harzianum in-vitro, by analyzing the effect of fungal interactions on light modification. The use of LED lights was analyzed in several types of light spectrum (yellow, blue, purple, and violet) and room light (control). The observation growth results on SDA media, it is known that the application of irradiation/illumination has a specific effect to T. harzianum. Yellow illumination has a very significant effect on macroscopic colony growth. Blue illumination have a very significant effect on spore multiplication, and purple illumination have a very significant effect on spore germination. Also supported by the analysis of color changes in T. harzianum colonies, there is no significant effect on the color change of the fungal colonies. Germination rate of T. harzianum under purple illumination have the largest average percentage of 91.2 ± 5.93 c %. Virulence test of T. harzianum based on dual culture with Fusarium solani, showed no significant effect. The influence of illumination also increases the microscopic activity of pathogens. The blue color has the largest percentage of inhibition at 61% after the control is 70,6 %. The virulence test needs to be studied further in relation to dark conditions, or to be carried out without color spectrum illumination.
