    Abstract
The Bedadung River Basin is a watershed that is mostly located in Jember Regency and a small part of its area is located in Bondowoso Regency with a total area of 102,434.1 hectares. The Bedadung watershed in Panti District has quite high erosion potential. Erosion is the process of moving soil on the surface of the land as a result of water flow. Erosion rate calculations need to be carried out to predict soil loss and determine the level of erosion danger. Erosion rate predictions are calculated using the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method which is integrated with GIS (Geographic Information System). GIS is used to calculate soil loss according to USLE parameters and depict it in the form of a map. The research results showed that the erosion hazard level of the Bedadung watershed, Panti District, was divided into five categories. The very light erosion hazard level has an area of 298.11 hectares, the light category has an area of 3,182.51 hectares, the medium category has an area of 2,213 hectares, the heavy category has an area of 1,571.16 hectares, and the very heavy category has an area of 192.37 hectares. The very light erosion hazard level in the use of paddy fields The light erosion hazard level on flat forest land, moorlands, plantations and settlements. The moderate erosion hazard level in the use of moorland, plantations and forests. The severe levels erosion hazard level in forest and bush land use. The very heavy erosion hazard level in forest land use which is located on steep slopes.
