Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Keputusan Petani Beralih Usahatani Jeruk Siam Ke Jagung di Desa Sidorejo Kecamatan Purwoharjo Kabupaten Banyuwangi
Abstract
This study aims to determine the factors that influence the decision making of farmers to switch Siamese orange farming to corn farming, how Siamese orange and corn farming income and changes in socioeconomic conditions of farmers before and after switching Siamese orange farming to corn farming in Sidorejo Village, Purwoharjo District, Banyuwangi Regency. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The data used in this study were secondary data from journals and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and secondary data obtained from interviews with farmers in Sidorejo Village. Sample determination in this study used purposive sampling technique with the slovin formula. The number of respondents was 60 samples. The data analysis method used is logistic regression for problem formulation one, TR-TC for problem formulation two and problem formulation three using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the factors that influenced the decision of farmers to switch Siamese to corn farming in Sidorejo Village were corn farming income and the age of citrus plants. The average income of Siamese oranges is Rp. 43,140,925 / Ha / Th and the average income of corn is Rp. 28,032,087 / Ha / th assuming that in one year corn farming can be done 3 times the planting period. The average income of corn farmers per season is Rp. 9,334,029 /Ha/seasonChanges in social conditions after the transition of Siamese orange farming to corn farming were work patterns with 32 farmers (91%) responding to changes in farming work patterns, social status with 10 farmers (28.6%) responding to changes in their social status and 29 farmers (82%) responding to changes in cooperative interactions between farmers that made relationships between farmers closer. Economic changes after the transition of Siamese orange farming to corn in the form of a decrease in income and no increase in the number of secondary goods ownership.
