Sikap dan Tingkat Adopsi Inovasi Pemanfaatan Tanaman Refugia pada Usahatani Padi di Desa Pancakarya Kecamatan Ajung Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
Refugia plants are an innovation in pest control through ecological engineering by planting refugia plants around rice farming areas which function as microhabitats for natural enemies of pests. This study aims to determine the attitude of farmers, the level of innovation adoption, and socio-economic factors related to the adoption of innovations in the use of refugia plants in rice farming in Pancakarya Village. The research method uses descriptive and analytic methods. Sampling method using purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Methods of data analysis using score tabulation with a Likert scale approach, chi square analysis, and spearman rank correlation analysis. The results showed that farmers' attitudes began with awareness, interest, assessment, try and apply based on an assessment of the characteristics of innovation, namely relative advantage, suitability, complexity, trialability, and observability. The adoption rate of refugia plant innovations is relatively high with a percentage of 80% and 86.7%. The adoption rate of refugia plant innovations is medium-low with a percentage of 20% and 13.33%. Factors that are significantly related to the adoption of innovations in the use of refugia plants in rice farming are education (X2) and income (X6), while the rest are age (X1), farming experience (X3), number of family members (X4), land area (X5) not significantly related.
