Desain Sistem Informasi Geografis Perencanaan Tata Tanam
Abstract
One of the efforts to increase agricultural production is the cropping pattern planning.
Cropping pattern planning is based on the type of plants to be cultivated with the availability
and needs of irrigation water in the water balance. This study aims to design a geographic
information system for cropping pattern planning that is interactive and able to predict
optimum production. The study began by integrating series data of total area rice field based
on BPS Jember with total area rice field based on Jember Department of Public Works and
Natural Resources. From the data, cropping pattern planning was determined based on
oldeman climate classification and plant data using Geographic Information System. RTTGGIS developed using Visual Basic version 6.0 program integrated by MapInfo Version 12.0
program. The results shown that globally cropping pattern planning (RTTG) GIS design based
on structured of (i) DBase Irrigation Areas; (ii) DBase RTTG and (iii) District information
Dbase. The RTTG-GIS can predict the rice field productivity in Jember Regency. The highest
rice field productivity in Jember Regency will reach 998,359 tons on years 2023, by realizing
the cropping pattern planning on the area of rainfed rice, and the area of permitted dry season
rice, during 1st and 2nd
. This is in accordance with the 2021 – 2026 Strategic Plan of the
Department of Horticulture and Plantation Crops of Jember Regency
