Strategi Pengembangan Persediaan Bahan Baku Tembakau Kasturi pada CV. Suud di Kecamatan Tamanan Kabupaten Bondowoso

Abstract

The tobacco processing industry or the cigarette industry which has increased product demand will increase its production capacity as well. As production capacity increases, the industry will increase the need for raw materials needed for cigarette manufacture. Inventories of raw materials that cannot meet production capacity will hamper the cigarette production process, while excessive inventories of raw materials will make the company bear the burden of storage costs as a result of the excessive depreciation of raw materials. Therefore, it is very important to take into account the quantity of supplies and orders for economical raw materials. the research was aimed to; (1) inventory level, reorder point, and safety stock of Kasturi tobacco raw materials on CV. Suud in Tamanan District, Bondowoso Regency (2) strategy of supplying raw materials for kasturi tobacco at CV. Suud in Tamanan District, Bondowoso Regency. The location of the research was determined by purposive methods, namely in CV. Suud in Sumber Kemuning Village, Tamanan District, Bondowoso Regency. The research method used is descriptive analytic method. The results of the EOQ analysis showed that the level of inventory of kasturi tobacco raw materials at CV. Suud is not economical. The results of the SWOT analysis of raw material inventory of kasturi tobacco on CV. Suud shows a point that is located in the White Area (strong-opportunity Field).
