    Abstract
The Effectiveness Test of Biopesticide Insect Pathogen Fungus Metarhizium anisopliae Liquid Formulation to Fall Army Worm (Spodoptera frugiperda J. E Smith) (Hemiptera: Noctuidae); Dian Indah Lestari; 151510501107; 2022; 72 Pages; Agrotechnology Studies Program; Faculty of Agriculture; University of Jember. Spodoptera frugiperda J. E Smith is a new type of pest on corn fields that attacks plant growing points, causing failure to form shoots and leaves. The use of control techniques to S. frugiperda using pesticides can cause pest resistance. The use of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae can be used as an alternative in pest control of S. frugiperda which is more effective and environmentally friendly. The use of biopesticides liquid formulation of entomopathogenic fungi M. anisopliae is a product of innovation from Mr. Ir. Hari Purnomo, M.Si., Ph.D, DIC which was produced with the PPAH Suka Maju Dukuh Dempok Group. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the liquid formulation of entomopathogenic fungus M. anisopliae to suppressing the population of S. frugiperda. This study used 7-concentration treatment consisting of P0= control, P1= 3%, P2= 16.5%, P3= 30%, P4= 43.5%, P5= 57% and P6= 70.5%. The observation variables used include: mortality, mycosis, mummification and analysis of LC50 and LT50. The data that has been obtained is then carried out probit analysis using the application program "Polo Plus Probit and Logit Analysis Version 1.0". The results showed that the entomopathogenic fungus M. anisopliae liquid formulation was effective in infecting S. frugiperda. Based on the data that has been obtained such as the percentage of mortality, mycosis, length of mycosis, mummification and length of time of mummification, it shows significant results. The highest percentage of mortality in the 70.5% treatment was 73.33%, while the lowest percentage in the 3% treatment was 40%. The highest mycosis percentage result in the 70.5% treatment was 77.27% with a mycosis duration of 1 day, while the lowest percentage in the 3% treatment was 67% with a mycosis duration of 3 days. The highest percentage of mummification in the treatment was 70.5% at 76.47% with a length of mummification time of 1.7 days, while the lowest percentage in the 3% treatment was 50% with a length of mummification time of 4 days. The LC50 value of the fungus M. anisopliae based on the calculation results with Polo Plus Version 1.0 application is 14, 5%. The LT50 value of the M. anisopliae fungus was fastest at 70.5% treatment, which was 3,8 days, while the longest LT50 value in M. anisopliae fungus at 3% treatment was 5,6 days.
