Abstract
Bebek Nusa Jaya Abadi Farm faces several operational challenges, including
difficulties in monitoring duck populations, manual recording of newly added and
deceased ducks, inadequate monitoring of feed and vitamin stocks, and inefficient
sales and financial record management. This study aims to design the User
Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of a mobile application called DuckSync
that meets user needs. The study employs the User Centered Design (UCD) method,
which consists of understanding the context of use, specifying user requirements,
producing design solutions, and evaluating the design. In addition, the Kano Model
is applied to determine feature priorities based on user satisfaction levels. The
result of this study is a high-fidelity prototype of the DuckSync mobile application,
featuring duck population monitoring, feed and vitamin stock management, harvest
age notifications, recording of newly added and deceased ducks, sales recording,
profit and loss calculation, revenue recap, business data visualization, and report
export. The prototype was evaluated using the User Experience Questionnaire Plus
(UEQ+) involving six respondents, consisting of one farm owner and five farm
workers. The evaluation results indicate that all UEQ+ scales, namely
Attractiveness, Efficiency, Clarity, Intuitive Use, Visual Aesthetics, Perspicuity, and
Usefulness, obtained positive scores with average values above 2. The evaluation
also produced an average KPI score of 2.12, indicating that the proposed
application design meets user needs, is easy to use, and provides a positive user
experience.
