Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing students' logical thinking abilities in solving probability problems in terms of self-regulated learning. The population used in this research was ninth-grade junior high school students. The qualitative research sample consisted of three students with different levels of self-regulated learning, namely students with high self-regulated learning, students with moderate self-regulated learning, and students with low self-regulated learning. The material used in this research was probability material. The results of this research show that students with high self-regulated learning fulfilled three stages with four indicators of logical thinking. Students with moderate self-regulated learning fulfilled three stages with four indicators, although the argumentation ability stage was still incomplete. Students with low self-regulated learning fulfilled the stages of coherent thinking but did not fulfill the stages of argumentation ability and drawing conclusions.
