Organization And Emporvement Traditional birth Attendants With The Game Simulation Method For Knowledge And Behavior Traditional Birth Attendants In Delivery High Risk Problem In Community Health center Jember
Abstract
Background: The role of traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) among rural communities is still a
highly regarded one. The intention of this study was to know whwthwr thw game simulation
method was more effective.
Methods: The design of this study was “The non random pre test – post test design. The sample
was divided into four group. One groups was assigned to become the second the treatment group
who was given the stimulation method, the second was given the lecture method and the others
two were the groups with no treatment. This study was execute in the areas of Kemuning Lor,
kamal, Darsono, Biting, Arjasa, Candijati at Arjasa Community Health Center, Jember District.
Result: The result of this study showed that : 1) There is a significant different of knowledge
before and after simulation; 2) There is also a significant different of knowledge after simulation
and lecture; 3) There is also a significant of knowledge of the groups with no treatment and the
groups who were given simulation significant difference before and after simulation. But there is
no significant difference between the stimulation group and those who were lectured. Abaout
referrals, observation showed that the group who were given simulation have higher level than
the group who were lectured.
Conclusion: The game simulation method was more effective to increase knowledge and
behavior of traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) for organization and empowerment in health
care system of community health nursing services.
