The Values Of Nationalism And Behavioral Conducts In Madurese Local Wisdom (MLW)

Abstract

This article aims to discussthe values of nationalismand behavioralconductsin MadureseLocal Wisdom(MLW). The methodologicalapproach used to achieve the objectives is qualitative. The data was obtained from participantobservationsand interviews. The collected data was then classified and interpreted in the form of descriptivequalitative analysis. This research resultedin the findingthat the values of nationalismand behavioralconducts in MadurseLocal Wisdom(MLW) plays important roles in maintainingharmoniousrelationshipsin the process of communicationand interactionand can be used as a referencefor the ideal coexistencewithin the Madurese Ethnic (ME) themselves and between the ME and other ethnic environments. The resultsare expectedto be used as a referenceparticularlyby the local governmentto regrowand rebuildthe values of integrityand nationalidentityin Maduresecommunity,as an effort to preparethe ideal social environmentalconditionwithinthe post-opening of the longestbridge in Indonesia.Theresults of this study are also expectedto contributeto a deeper thought for further research in the area of cultural diversitythrougha better understandingof local wisdom,the result of which can be used as a referencefor parents, cultural experts and scientistsas well as related institutionsin their attempts of strengtheningthe values of nationalism and behaviouralconducts of the nation through a better understandingof local wisdom correctly and comprehensively.All of these can be used as media for reimplantingnoble character of the nation, improvingharmonyin all aspects of national life and preventviolence,whichcan cause fear and worrytowardsother ethnicand other nations.
