dc.description.abstractThis aim of this research was to know whether or not there was a significant effect of using Student Teams-Achievement Division (STAD) technique on the eighth grade students’ tense mastery at SMPN 1 Kalibaru. The participants of the research were chosen by using cluster random sampling. Class 8D was chosen as the experimental group and class 8E was as the control group. The data collection methods of the research were the tense posttest, interview, and documentation. The try out test was administered before conducting the posttest. The result of the data analysis showed that the value of t-test was 3.85,which was higher than the value of t-table with the significance level of 5% and degree of freedom 70 that was 1.998. It means that there was a significant effect of using STAD Technique on the eighth grade students’ tense mastery at SMPN 1 Kalibaru.en_US
