Observation that have been done in class X 3 SMA Negeri 1 Cluring, students
learning achievement showed low grade on the subjects of biology. 73% of
students have not reached the minimum completeness criteria specified was
75. This was caused by learning still tended to be centered on the teacher.
LSQ and problem based learning model was a learning strategy and model
that was capable of creating a learning situation became more active as it
gave every students the opportunity to asking, problem solving and directly
involved in the learning process. The purpose of this study to increase
students learning achievement through the implementation of learning
strategy LSQ with problem based learning model in class X SMA Negeri 1
Cluring Banyuwangi academic year 2015 / 2016. This research was a
classroom action research which covered of two cycles, cycle stages include:
planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of research showed an
increase of students learning achievement also showed an increase in both
cognitive and affective aspects. In the cognitive aspect, an increase of
precycle to the first cycle was 5,15. The first cycle to the second cycle
increased by 3,39, and from precycle to the second cycle increased by 8,1.
While on the affective aspects of the first cycle to the second cycle increased
by 5 point. Based on the above explaination it can be concluded that the
implementation of LSQ with problem based learning model can improve
students learning achievement
