Ear barotrauma is a form of tissue damage in the ear tympanic membrane rupture due to the failure of Eustachian tube to equalize the pressure between the middle ear and the environment when there is extreme pressure changes. Traditional fisherman divers used a limited equipment, lack of attention to aspects of the occupational health and safety, and most of them had ear barotrauma. This study aimed to identify risk factors associated with ear barotrauma in fisherman divers. This type of research was an analytic observational with cross sectional design. Data analysis used Cramer coëficient C test. The results showed that as many as 20 people (58.7%) of 34 fisherman that were examined had the ear barotrauma. Cramer coëficient C test results showed that the some factors associated with ear barotrauma were diving depth (Cramers'V value = 0.006, the Approx. value Sig <0.05) and the long duration of dives (Cramers'V value = 0.008, the Approx. value Sig <0.05). The conclusion of the study: the risk factors associated with ear barotrauma in fisherman divers at Watu Ulo were the depth and duration of dives.en_US
