The sugarcane varieties with tolerance to flooding stress are not available in Indonesia. Therefore, this research was aimed to the development of flooding tolerant sugarcane. The research was conducted using Split Plot Design that consists of 2 factors with 3 replications. The main plot was 12 varieties of sugarcane. The sub plot was the level of flooding stress. After flooding treatment, the tolerance sugarcane plant showed a decrease in chlorophyll content, increase stomatal density, enhance brix content, decrease in protein content, and increase of root density. Varieties that tolerant to the flooding stress were PS 881 and PS 862.en_US
