dc.description.abstract | The research was conducted in the Ivth of graders SDN Sumberlesung 04 Jember with the aim to increase the activity of learning and student learning outcomes in the material development of production technology, communications, and transportation with science technology in society approach. This is because students are less able to link the material of IPS with the environment in the surrounding communities, which makes the activity in the classroom passive and low learning outcomes. The type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of 2 cycles. Cycle I lasted for 3 meetings and the second cycle lasted for 2 meetings. In each meeting, it was conducted several stages: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Subjects of this study were students of IV graders consist of 26 students 16 of which males and 10 were females. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and testing. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. Based on this research result showed that, the average percentage of student learning activities in the pre-cycle of 34.23% and 30.13% increase in the first cycle to 64.36%. The average percentage of this learning activity increased by 10.83% in the second cycle into 75.19%. The increase in the average percentage of students in learning activities was proportional to the average increase student learning outcomes. The average student learning outcomes in pre-cycle increased by 55.08% 4.54% on the first cycle to 59.62%, and 10.46% increase in cycle II to 70.08%. | en_US |
