dc.description.abstract | Quality of life among children decreases by multifactor, one of them is parental
divorce. Each year, over 100.000 Indonesian children suffer from the divorce of their
parents. Divorce causing irreparable harm to all involved, but most especially to the
children. This study analysis differentiation between children from marriage family
and divorce family. Assesment of the quality of life among children use KIDSCREEN-
52 questionnaire measures 10 Heath-Related Quality of Life (HR-QoL) dimensions.
This study is an analytic with cross-sectional approach. Data is based on children in
secondary school with 40 sample that were included from exclussion and inclussion
criteria. The exclussion criteria are children living in the boarding school, children
experience an impairment of health so that cannot become respondent and children
have parents remarriage. Analysis of data consists of Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney
U test, Independent t test, Anova test and Kruskall-Wallis test with α=0,05. Result of
these analysis showed that quality of life among children in divorce family had lower
score than children from marriage family. In divorce family, children have lower
score in physical well-being, psyichological well-being, moods and emotions,
autonomy, parental relations and home life, school environment and financial
resources. By time elapsed since separation, children in divorce family had lower
score in psychological well-being and moods and emotions. | en_US |
