dc.description.abstract | The increasing number of drug abuse prisoner and illicit drugs in the prison, has

drug abuse prisoners to the behavioral risk of HIV / AIDS in Correctional Institution
Class II-A Jember. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach.

inmate drug abusers in productive age (21-30 years), with secondary school
education level (high school graduate / equivalent) and being prisoned for ≤ 2 years,
environmental factors in prison is fair in terms of prevention of HIV / AIDS. In
general, drug abuse prisoners have a high self-efficacy to avoid risk behaviors of HIV
/ AIDS and risk behaviors of HIV / AIDS in prison is low. But practically, bullets
installation were still widely found. Bullets installation could increase HIV / AIDS
transmission risk because of injuries. Besides, the tool used to set the bullets is not
sterile (the knife made of brush) and used interchangeably. | en_US |
