dc.description.abstractThis study’s objective is to elucidate the role of cadres of the active toddler's mother visiting Posyandu in Kelurahan Tegal Gede, in the Work Area of Sumbersari’s Public Health Center, Sumbersari District Jember, with a qualitative approach using purposive sampling technique. In-depth interviews conducted in seven Posyandu’s cadres to obtain more in-depth information about the studied variables. These variables include the characteristics, knowledge, attitudes and the role of Posyandu’s cadre toward toddler’s mother activeness visited Posyandu activity. The results showed that the majority of Posyandu’s cadre have primary education level is elementary school level and junior high school. In average, posyandu’s cadres have knowledge of Posyandu in low and medium category, with a positive attitude. Generally Posyandu’s cadres have less role in efforts to increase the activeness of mothers visiting Posyandu’s activity. With the result that the role of Posyandu’s cadre need to be more increased, especially those which are concerning the role of cadres in the Posyandu’s preparation open day and after the open day of Posyandu which is home visits.en_US
