HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT KONSUMSI DAN POLA ASUH GIZI DENGAN STATUS GIZI ANAK BALITA PADA IBU YANG BEKERJA DI PT. PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA X (PERSERO) UNIT INDUSTRI BOBBIN KECAMATAN ARJASA KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
The children aged 1-5 years (under five) is the period where the child is still
in dire need of food and nutrient supply in sufficient quality and quantity.
Malnutrition during this period may affect growth and nutritional status of children.
It is the duty of a mother who primarily as caretakers to notice it. One to note in this
period is the level of food consumption, especially macro nutrients (energy,
carbohydrates, proteins and fats) and the parenting that includes nutrition colostrum,
prelakteal feeding, exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding and weaning.
This study is an observational analytic with the type of study is cross
sectional. Sample of this study is children aged 1-5 years in women who work in the
bobbin industrial unit Arjasa district as much as 47 children. The study was
conducted from February to June 2012 in the region of Arjasa Jember. From the
analysis of data obtained by using the chi square test statistic with α = 0.05 is
obtained there is a relationship between the level of energy consumption,
carbohydrate, protein and fat to the nutritional status of children under five with
significant (P < α) which are the energy (P = 0.000), carbohydrates (P = 0.001),
protein (P = 0.000), and fat (P = 0.001), and there is a relationship between nutrition
parenting with nutritional status of children under five with significant (P <α) that is
P = 0.029. Suggestion from the results of this research is mother or nanny at home
when mother is working, should pay more attention and improve the quality and
quantity of food and the nutrition parenting of children under five and modification of
food so the nutritional status of children can be better.
