    Abstract
Gel lead acid battery is considered as a noble battery that must be treated carefully in order to avoid damage. Modeling is the best alternative way to test the performance of this battery. In this research a 110 Ah gel lead acid battery to be modeled using Tremblay battery model and the model parameter is indentified based on manufacturer data. The results of discharge performance testing show a very identical characteristic of battery model and manufacturer data. This research also verified the model for charge state and the test show the possibility to use this model to represent lead acid storage battery in power system modeling.
