Pelaksanaan Investigasi Kontak untuk Penemuan Kasus Tuberkulosis oleh Kader Tuberkulosis (di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kalisat Kabupaten Jember)
Abstract
Cadres play a crucial role in tuberculosis (TB) control efforts, particularly in
case detection and treatment coverage. This study identified the
implementation of contact investigation activities for TB case detection
conducted by TB cadres in the Kalisat Health Center area. This was a
descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through interviews with
15 TB cadres, predominantly female and aged 36-55 years. The cadre
composition included 11 village cadres, 3 YABHYSA cadres, and 1 health
center cadre. Findings showed that contact identification and home visits were
primarily conducted by YABHYSA and health center cadres, as village cadres
showed reduced activity in these roles due to funding constraints and a lack
of engagement. While some village cadres continued to provide passive
screening and counseling, the responsibility for systematic recording and
reporting of findings rested with YABHYSA and health center cadres.
Monthly reports were submitted to the community health center for feedback,
and online reporting was conducted through the SITB system. The study
highlights that many cadres struggle to fulfill their roles effectively,
suggesting a necessity for institutional support, including the establishment of
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from Kalisat Health Center that
clearly delineate the roles and rights of health cadres.
