This study will explain the policy changes by Mohammad bin Salman as head of state. With the background of Saudi Arabia which is known to be conservative, the changes made by Mohammad bin Salman have had a significant impact on Saudi Arabia. The reason is that the policy changes made by Mohammad bin Salman have made the image of Saudi Arabia more secular. The research method used by the researcher is qualitative-descriptive using a literature study instrument. The analysis method used by the researcher is by using the Rational Choice theory. So that it provides an argument that the policy changes made by Mohammad bin Salman are the most rational policy changes for Saudi Arabia. This is seen through the rational choice theory by bringing opinions from Shannon L. Blanton and Charles Kegley about the stages of policy making. The rationality of the policy set by Mohammad bin Salman can be seen from several data obtained regarding several problems that have emerged in Saudi Arabia. Then Mohammad bin Salman provided several solutions and made several alternatives, one of which was the Saudi Vision 2030. In the end, the Saudi Vision 2030 was chosen to be the most rational policy to solve problems in Saudi Arabia.en_US
