Preparasi, Karakterisasi, dan Evaluasi Sifat Kompaktibilitas Kristal Multikomponen Ekstrak Daun Kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) dengan Koformer Dekstrosa
Abstract
Moringa is a plant that contains various compounds that are beneficial for health. The various properties of Moringa leaves have the potential to be developed into pharmaceutical preparations. Tablets have advantages over other preparations. The process of extracting compounds from Moringa leaves in the form of extraction produces an extract that is thick and less stable, so a modification is needed to increase the compactibility of the Moringa leaf extract. Multicomponent crystals are a method that can be chosen because they have methods that can improve mechanical and physicochemical properties without affecting the pharmacological effects. Multicomponent Crystal preparation uses the solvent evaporation method with dextrose coformer. The aim of this research is to determine the compactibility and characteristics of cocrystals using PXRD, DSC, FTIR, SEM instruments. In compactibility evaluation, tablet preparations were made with 5 different pressures. The results of research on making multicomponent moringa-dextrose crystal extract using the solvent evaporation method are shown through PXRD diffractogram data, DSC thermograms and FTIR spectra. The results of the compactibility evaluation at a compression pressure of 1.25 tons obtained a TS value of 0.62 MPa (not good) and an ER percentage of 0.30% (good).
