The beast folks admires Moreau as their leader and they even praise him like their God. After the death of Moreau, the beast folks lost a leader figure so there is no one to give them punishment. This makes them to behave out of control, even the remaining ruling class that has less influence than Moreau cannot stop them. at the end the hegemony on the island collapse.Wells wrote this novel when vivisection caused controversy in nineteenth century.
