Implementasi Program Bus Sekolah Gratis di Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
Traffic congestion, traffic violations, and traffic accidents serve as the basis
for the free school bus program aimed at minimizing such undesirable incidents.
This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection
techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants
for this study are the Jember District Transportation Office, parents of students,
and students themselves. The findings reveal that the Jember District
Transportation Office, as the responsible party for the free school bus program, is
committed to providing the best service to the community, especially students. The
implementation of the free school bus program has resulted in both negative and
positive impacts in the field. Based on the conclusions drawn from this research,
the implementation of the free school bus program is geared towards providing
services to students. Through this program, it is hoped that traffic congestion,
underage accidents, underage traffic violations, and fuel consumption can be
reduced.
