dc.description.abstract | Chili is a plant that is sensitive to excess or lack of water. Chili also requires sufficient nutrients in an effort to increase productivity and quality. Farmers in various regions often still do watering and fertilizing manually so that this method is less effective because sometimes the water discharge and fertilizer given do not match the needs and spend quite a lot of energy and time. Technology in this case can be used as an automation system for watering and applying liquid fertilizer to chili plants. This automatic watering and fertilization is controlled by an Arduino microcontroller and various other supporting components of the automation system. Automatic watering works according to information on soil moisture conditions in plants controlled by arduino. Plant watering is carried out by applying the fuzzy logic control method in decision making so that when the soil moisture is at the specified set point, namely in the range of soil moisture <60% the plant will be watered and watering will stop when the soil moisture condition is ≥70%. Fuzzy logic control also plays a role in decision making to get the ideal nutrient density. The provision of liquid fertilizer to chili plants uses RTC as a scheduling of fertilizer application which is first set the time and day of fertilization according to the required set point. This research shows that the system works according to the needs that have been designed by researchers. The automation system can work as needed and users can also monitor directly using the Blynk application provided that the microcontroller is connected to a wifi network that has been set up in advance. With the success of this research, it can streamline and streamline the work of farmers when implemented directly into the field and achieve maximum chili growth. | en_US |
