    Abstract
Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that needs to be resolved because stunting is irreversible or incurable and has a long-lasting impact. Efforts that can be made are to optimize preventive actions or prevent stunting. Prevention of stunting during pregnancy is a priority and more effective action. This is because one of the factors causing stunting is not meeting nutritional needs when individuals enter the early gates of life, are during pre-conception and pregnancy. The research design used in this study was an observational study with cross sectional analytic research. The samples used in this study were 112 pregnant women who were in the working area of the Andongsari Health Center. The results of this study indicate that most knowledge of balanced nutrition among pregnant women is in the good category (97.3%) and stunting prevention behavior is in the good category (55.36%). Based on the Spearman Rank correlation test, it was found that p-value=0.000 (p<0.05), r=0.438, which means that there is a relationship between knowledge of balanced nutrition in pregnant women and stunting prevention behavior in the Andongsari Health Center Work Area which is positive (+) and strong enough. Therefore, the higher the knowledge of balanced nutrition in pregnant women, the better the stunting prevention behavior during pregnancy will be. Knowledge is an exogenous factor that influences a person's behavior. Knowledge is an exogenous factor that influences a person's behavior. Nutritional knowledge can influence the process of selecting food ingredients with the principle of balanced nutrition during pregnancy.
