Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Operasi Hitung Pecahan Melalui Penerapan Pendekatan Matematika Realisitk bagi Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Curahpoh 1 Bondowoso
Abstract
Improving the quality of education for students involves enabling them to think logically, critically, and practically to develop precision, accuracy, and correctness through mathematics learning. The aim of this research is to enhance the activities and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in mathematics, particularly in the topic of fraction operations, through a realistic mathematics approach. This type of research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects involved in this study are fifth-grade classes with 34 students. Based on the data analysis, the results of Cycle 1 were 55.1%, and Cycle 2 were 77.8%, showing an average increase of 22.7%. The average score of learning outcomes in Cycle 1 was 56.6, while in Cycle 2, it was 75.1, with an average increase of 18.5. Based on these activities and learning outcomes, it can be concluded that the application of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in teaching fraction operations can enhance the activities and learning outcomes of students at SDN Curahpoh 1 Bondowoso.
