Pengembangan Modul IPA Berbasis Proyek Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Pada Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar IPA SMP
Abstract
Critical thinking skills were closely related to science learning in schools because they could prepare students to solve problems and make decisions independently. However, critical thinking skills in Indonesia still showed a low level. This was because students were still not familiar with the learning process that emphasized student activeness and the limited teaching materials used. Therefore, it was necessary to innovate teaching materials so that students actively participated during the learning process. This innovation could be a project-based science module because with the project, students would be active in the learning process. This development research aimed to produce valid, practical, and effective project-based science modules. The development model used was the ADDIE model, which consisted of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data analysis used in the form of validation sheets, observation sheets for the implementation of module use, as well as pretest-posttest questionnaires and student responses. The validation result of 94.69% was classified as very valid. The results of the practicality analysis by observers obtained a percentage value of 89.51%, which was classified as very practical. The results of the effectiveness analysis based on the results of the pretest and posttest calculations showed an N-Gain value of 0.53, including in the medium category, and the results of the analysis of student response questionnaires showed a percentage of 91.33%, which was classified as very good. Based on the results of data analysis on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of science modules that had been developed, it could be concluded that project-based science modules could improve students' critical thinking skills in independent junior high school science learning curriculum suitable for use as teaching materials.
