Evaluasi Aplikasi Identifikasi Tumbuhan Sebagai Rekomendasi Media Pembelajaran Siswa SMP
Abstract
The subject of plants in science education poses significant challenges. Students must 
have the ability to describe the differences in plant characteristics based on taxonomic 
levels, classify plants in various taxon levels, and conduct experiments related to 
physiological processes in plants. A method to identify plants easily is to use Android 
applications, such as PlantNet, Google Lens, Blossom, Picture This, and others. This 
study aimed to determine the effect of Android applications on the results of plant 
identification, understand the advantages between Android applications, and establish 
Android application recommendations for junior high school student learning. Data 
were collected by observation or survey method, taking pictures or photos, and 
Android application assessment. The results showed that the type of application affects 
the results of plant identification, Android applications have advantages in identifying 
plants, and PictureThis application is a plant identification application that is highly 
recommended as a learning medium for junior high school students.
