    Abstract
Students frequently do not get perfect scores in exams without knowing where the error was. Teachers also know this fact but rarely try to find out the specific reasons. This research aims to describe students' errors with each Keirsey’s personality type based on Nolting's Theory in solving trigonometry problems. The type of research carried out was descriptive qualitative with the subject are student from each Keirsey personality type. Subject selection was carried out using the MBTI personality type questionnaire with the criteria the frequency of functions required for each personality type, the number of types of errors done by students, and the students' willingness. Students were then given a trigonometry test and an analysis of their errors would be conducted. After the subject were selected, a semi-structured interview is conducted to collect data that cannot yet be obtained. The data were then tested for its validity using the member check method. The research results revealed different error characteristics related to each personality type. Student with an artisan personality type tend to just guessing and have weak strategies, resulting in many conceptual errors. Student with the guardian personality type are not good at implementing their strategies and tend to be easily influenced, so all implementation mistakes were made. Student with idealist personality types tend to be controlled by their intuition and beliefs, so that many conceptual and test-taking errors occured. Student with a rational personality type are very logical and skilled at capturing abstractions, but lack of precision, so they made many careless errors.
