Identifikasi Pola Asuh Makan dan Perilaku Picky Eater pada Anak dengan Stunting di Area Agrikultur Jember
Abstract
Stunting is a condition in which children are physically shorter than their peers due
to malnutrition or chronic malnutrition. The causes of stunting are eating habits and
picky eating behavior. This research aims to identify parenting patterns and picky
eater behavior in children with stunting in the Jember agricultural area. This
research method uses a descriptive research cross-sectional approach. The sampling
technique used purposive sampling technique to obtain 70 respondents. Data
collection tools in this study used the PFSQ questionnaire for the parenting pattern
variable and the CEBQ questionnaire for the picky eater behavior variable in
stunted children. The results of this study were that most mothers aged 26 - 35 years
were 37 (52.9%). 30 people (42.9%) had a high school/vocational school education
level, 41 people (58.6%) worked as housewives, and 18 people (25.7%) as farmers,
most of whom were children aged 24 - 35 months as many as 28 children (40%)
with female gender totaling 45 children (64.3%). The majority of mothers applied
neglect-type parenting for stunted children as many as 25 mothers (35.7%) and 47
children (67.1%) had eating behavior in the picky eater category. Therefore,
mothers need to know about children's nutrition and proper eating patterns so that
children avoid stunting.
