Peran Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) dalam Pengembangan Desa Wisata Selayar di Desa Sungai Rujing Kecamatan Sangkapura Kabupaten Gresik

Abstract

Selayar Tourism Village is one of the tourist destinations in Sungai Rujing Village. However, the existence of this tourist destination is not widely known and known by the wider community. The role of Pokdarwis Pantai Selayar in efforts to develop tourism is carried out by providing motivation and education to the community and making efforts to develop tourism through the potential of nature tourism and local wisdom. With the development of tourism, it is hoped that it can provide benefits and welfare for the local community and support development in the village. This study aims to describe the role of Pokdarwis in the development of the Selayar Tourism Village in Sungai Rujing Village, Sangkapura District, Gresik Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the role of Pokdarwis as a motivator is carried out by motivating the community by inviting entrepreneurship in tourist areas and involving the community as tourism actors, as well as developing local product businesses and collaborating with local communities, tourist land owners, and the government of Sungai Rujing Village in efforts to develop tourism. The role played by Pokdarwis in an effort to increase the capacity of local communities is through developing human resources by holding outreach and training activities regarding business development for local products and tourism.
