    Abstract
    The diagnosis of a chronic disease that causes a high mortality rate is one of the causes of patients feeling confused, anxious, and afraid in their lives, this sometimes makes the patient feel less enthusiastic about carrying out activities. The emergence of goals and the achievement of expectations can form a patient's thoughts, feelings, and attitudes in everyday life, where which shows the meaning of life. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the meaningfulness of life and the level of self-acceptance in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at RSU. dr. Koesnadi Bondowoso. The research design used a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach and purposive sampling as a data collection technique with 87 respondents. The data collection tools used in this study are the Meaning In Life Questionnaire (MLQ) and the Unconditional Self Acceptance Questionnaire (USAQ). Data analysis used the Spearman Rank Test with a significance value of 0.05. The results showed that 87 (100%) or all chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at RSU Dr. Koesnadi Bondowoso had a low meaningfulness of life, whereas self-acceptance showed that 46 (52.9%) chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Dr. Koesnadi Bondowoso, the level of self-acceptance was in the low category, and 41 (47,1%) patiens, the level of self-acceptance was in high category. The results of the study based on the Spearman rank test showed that there was a relationship between the meaningfulness of life and self-acceptance of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at RSU Dr. Koesnadi Bondowoso with a p-value of 0.044. Patients who find meaning in their life or have a high meaningfulness of life, then the level of self-acceptance is also high, and vice versa. The meaning of life can be one of the important predictors for someone to make adjustments to the conditions they are experiencing.
