Gambaran Persepsi Mahasiswa Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Jember terhadap Perilaku Pencegahan COVID-19
Abstract
As nursing students, it is hoped that they will be able to serve as community
role models for self-management in efforts to prevent diseases, particularly
infectious diseases like COVID-19. Therefore, students must first have a
perception of the disease in order to comprehend it. This research is to find out
the perceptions of nursing professional students regarding the behavior of
preventing COVID-19. This research was a descriptive study with a crosssectional design and used a total sampling approach. The sample size of this
research is 142 respondents. The Health belief model was used to measure their
perception (ɑ-Cronbach 0,975). The ethical license (No.
226/UN25.1.14/KEPK/2023) issued by the ethics board of the Faculty of Nursing
University of ember. Data analysis used univariate analysis. The results showed
that the professional students were female (78.9%), with the professional class,
namely class 30 (56.3%). The professional students have never had a history of
exposure to COVID-19. The professional nurse students have a history of
vaccines 3 times (91.5%). When exposed to Covid-19, nursing professional
students were treated at home (29.4%) and the first symptom that appeared was a
fever of 23 (16.1%). Perceptions of nursing professional students on the
prevention of COVID-19 have a good category (100%) with perceptual aspects
have good category. This good perception of nursing professional students shows
that students are able to understand the importance of preventing the
transmission of COVID-19 and the risks of exposure. For nursing professional
students to always be consistent in implementing the COVID-19 prevention.
