Optimasi Variasi Rake Angle, Gerak Makan, dan Kedalaman Potong Terhadap Kekasaran Permukaan pada Proses Bubut Material Getas Batu Granit
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of variations in turning parameters
on the surface roughness value of Granite with Taguchi Method including rake
angle -20°, 0°, 20°, feed rate 0.047 mm/rev, 0.088 mm/rev, 0.214 mm/rev, and
depth of cut 0.5 mm, 0.75 mm, 1 mm, and aims to determine the results of turning
on visual micro photos. The rake angle variable has an F count of 23.35 which is
greater than the F table so H₀ is rejected. The variable that has a significant effect
is 0°. Variable feeding motion which has F count of 22.90 which is greater than F
table, H₀ is rejected. The significantly influential variable is 0.047 mm/rev. The
depth of cut variable has an F count of 21.57 which is greater than the F table, so
H₀ is rejected. The significantly influential variable is 0.5 mm. The most optimal
process variable is the rake angle which has a contribution of 33.92%, namely at
a variation of the rake angle level of 0° with a surface roughness value of 3.648
µm, the feed motion variable has a contribution of 33.28%, namely at a variation
of the feed motion level of 0.047 mm / rev with a surface roughness value of 3.908
µm, and the variable that has the smallest contribution is the depth of cut variable
which has a contribution of 31.35% at a variation of the depth of cut level of 0.5
mm with a surface roughness value of 3.743 µm.
