Abstract
21st century education is required to contribute to improving 21st century skills (4C). One of the important 21st century skills is computational thinking, where this ability is related to problem solving abilities. One of the subjects that is considered difficult and requires problem solving skills is physics. This research aims to measure the computational thinking abilities of Grade 12 MIPA students by applying the matrix method with the help of Microsoft Excel VBA in solving two- loop electrical circuit problems. This research is included in the type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were 10 people using a purposive sampling technique. Students' computational thinking abilities are reviewed through four indicators consisting of problem decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, and abstraction and generalization. From the research results obtained, the majority of students are in the good category in the indicators of problem decomposition, pattern recognition, and algorithmic thinking. However, the majority of abstraction and generalization indicators are in the medium category.
