Analisis Optimasi Material Removal Rate (MRR) dan Dross Formation Rate (DFR) pada Otomasi Multilayer Sheets Metal Cutting Menggunakan Busur Plasma
Abstract
Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC) is widely used in manufacturing industries due to its cost-effectiveness and ability to cut many different metals. However, PAC often produces dross, which can diminish cutting quality, and there is potential to enhance PAC cutting productivity. This research investigates the Dross Formation Rate (DFR) and explores the implementation of multilayer cutting in PAC to increase productivity while maintaining cut quality. The experimental trials employed an orthogonal array L9 design. In this study, Taguchi's method was used to determine the optimal parameters for minimizing DFR, and ANOVA was used to determine the significance of each parameter.
