    Abstract
Mangrove ecosystem of Muara Timur Bandealit Resort Meru Betiri National Park is an area that is affected by tidal movements, a combination of seawater and river water, but has a diversity of organisms, one of which is gastropods. Besides that, diversity of gastropods in the mangrove ecosystem of Muara Timur has never been studied. This research study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the diversity of gastropods species in the mangrove ecosystem of Muara Timur Bandealit Resort Meru Betiri National Park which includes the composition of species and diversity index value. The research study was conducted using a systematic plot transect method with a size of 1x1 m2 and as of 200 plots. In addition, abiotic data measured, including water pH, water temperature, salinity, and substrate type. Data analysis is done using Shannon-Wiener species diversity index formula. The types of gastropods found there are 13 types of gastropods from nine genera and six Families. Faunus ater was the most common species, while Nerita exuvia, Cassidula angulifera, Dostia violacea, and Cassidula sulculosa are the types with the lowest number of individuals. The results of the calculation of the index of diversity species (H') are Gastropods classified in the medium category with a value of 1.346. The results showed that the mangrove ecosystem of Muara Timur Bandealit Resort has environmental conditions with a pH of 7.1-7.9, a temperature of 30.1-32.7°C, and a salinity of 27-33‰ and there are muddy substrates, sandy mud, and muddy sand.
