    Abstract
    The development of increasingly advanced technology makes teachers have to make the most of this technology for the learning process in the classroom. Modern technology can be a solution to environmental problems that can be used as a learning topic to train and improve students' critical thinking skills. Students' critical thinking skills also increase with good learning outcomes, therefore it is necessary to apply appropriate learning models for students. This study uses the PBL learning model containing SETS to improve cognitive learning outcomes and students' critical thinking skills in Biology subject. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PBL model containing SETS on critical thinking skills and cognitive biology learning outcomes of class X students in the agricultural industrial area. The method used is a quasi-experimental in which there is a control class and an experimental class that is treated with the PBL learning model containing SETS. Students' critical thinking skills and students' cognitive learning outcomes were measured using the ANACOVA test. The results of this study are critical thinking skills, data with sig 0.000, which means sig data <0.05, which means there is a significant increase and cognitive learning outcomes of students with ANACOVA analysis, namely data with sig 0.041, which means sig data <0.05 which indicates that there is a significant increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes. Based on the results of the analysis above, it can be concluded that the SETS-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has an effect on increasing cognitive learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of class X students in industrial agriculture.
